The climate problems we are having have no macro solution, they can not be solved by grandiose treaties or financial shell games that are only good for diplomatic cocktail chatter. This is not the time to discount and deny the changes to Earth's climate. Our climate is changing in very dangerous ways that we do not yet understand. The Climate Change negotiations for Copenhagen 2009 seem to be bogged down in the usual bickering about the national size, or stuck on the polarities of north against south, poor against rich. And yet, pollution is caused by Human beings. Governments or corporations cause environmental damage in serving the final consumer, you and I. We the People consume the fossil fuels made available to us, it is we who must now demand a change, using the most powerful vote possible, our wallets.

The reason Wall Street has such a broad base of support among the American bourgeoisie is that they have co-opted them into their financial system, by way of IRA retirement accounts at their jobs, called 401K, Roth and other such investment accounts. If we were to shift the cybernetic depository of the private IRA plans from Wall Street to the Social Security System,... The monthly IRA contributions would be electronically transferred a supplemental social security account at the SSA central depository, instead of private investment banks and stockbrokers. We would then be able to plan for our own retirement without the hazards of stock market speculation, and we would be providing the SSA system with funding that it can use to provide better social services in the future.
